Located within the charming city of Saratoga Springs, the Saratoga Race Course is the oldest organized sporting venue of any kind in the United States. The New York Racing Association (NYRA) retained Blackburn to prepare a master plan of the Backstretch facilities as a long range-planning tool in order to improve operational efficiency, physical appearance, security, and protect its historical heritage. Based on a thorough assessment of the backstretch facilities and operational policies, Blackburn identified future project improvements to preserve the integrity of the Saratoga Race Course and its reputable quality of racing throughout the world.
