Located near Charlottesville, Virginia, the Foxfield Race Course runs both spring and fall steeplechase races and hosts several other large-scale outdoor community events.

Field Sport Concepts with Raymond Woolfe was commissioned to design and supervise construction of a first-rate facility like none other in central Virginia. Major site elements include an NSA-sanctioned steeplechase racecourse, turf course, fence lines and all official structures, including stables, saddling paddocks, maintenance buildings and spectator/sponsor areas able to accommodate crowds of over 20,000. Additionally, Field Sport Concepts designed parking areas, traffic approaches, entrance ways and deceleration lanes capable of handling such crowds. Post-construction, Field Sport Concepts was retained as a consultant for the grounds and facility to investigate parking and circulation options.
